According to the story, Daedalus, a mythical inventor, created wings made of feathers and wax to escape from Crete where he and his son, Icarus, were held captive by King Minos. Icarus, however, ignored his father's warnings and flew too close to the sun. His wings melted and he fell into the sea where he met his end.
There is also the interpretation where Icarus he learns of his special connection to the sun god Apollo does Icarus set his sights on the heavens. Infatuated, he does everything in his power to attract the handsome deity's attention.
I wanted to break this down into a simple figurative form of a man resting on a couch. The white paint falling fown somewhat as a sticky reminder of the mistakes the night before.
