The big blue bird

The colours and hues at dawn are epic. A daily battle, a thing of beauty.

A collection of one-off oil paintings on canvas boards. 16" x 12" in size. Full of rhythm and expression. 

When I paint larger oil paintings I decided to use these smaller canvas boards as palettes to mix the paints and colours I required. What I was left with were truly beautiful expressive and quite abstract artworks. After looking into them I found I saw images and shapes which were unconsciously created. Brushstrokes and forms which created these naive and tactile collection.

I love the fact they are unplanned.
